OpenStyle - Practice & Grow
Practice and repetition are core to becoming good at any complex task. Dancing is no exception.
Members of the 52Hertz family are welcome to attend this practice hour. An opportunity to grow your style, practice and ask for guidance.

19:00 - Moves Technique - Freestyle
Moves Technique - Freestyle
Congratulations! Now you are ready to be a dancer.
Freestyle is one of the most important elements of HipHop culture. It is hard to make the first move, that’s why this class was created, so that I will be here to take the first steps with you.
Moves Technique will guide you to understading the body movement at the next level. This will be built into 3 parts: Foundation, Dynamics, and Creation.
- Foundation with bring out the quality of the basics.
- Dynamics will allow you to know the conection with the timing and the room.
- Creation is the part where I will help you find who you are, and what is your style.
This class will prepare you to find and combine your styles, ready for future competition participation, and is open for dancers with Popping, Locking or Hiphop backgrounds.

Wednesday
18:00 - Popping
Popping
Popping has a broad background based upon thirteen different elements. We will be focussing on the core popping style, and how we perform the muscle contraction in different parts of the body. The pop technique, which you will learn from day 1, focuses on short, millisecond actions to the drum beats in the music, highlighting “on-beat” and “off-beat” movements.
Once established we will then target individual elements, e.g. waving, ticking, strobing, with the focus on establishing connections between the elements. We will have repitition of the critical foundations while advancing the dancing techniques.

19:00 - Locking
Locking
Locking was established in the West coast USA in the 1970’s, based upon 4 foundation moves, uplock, lock, twirl and pace. We will work to initially focus on how to use the muscles to make quality movements. A key component with be on control the muscles, to understand where the power comes from and how to make clean stops, resulting in the “Lock” movement. Locking emerged from the funk style and of course we will be learning party steps and soul dance in addition to the foundations.
We will build upon the foundation moves to establish connections between the foundations and soul dance. Variations on the steps incluing combo steps, such as Scoobot, Skeeter rabbit, Scooby doo etc, will be introduced, and how they can be used with soul dance.

HipHop (6-9år)
This class offers a fun, safe, and inclusive introduction to hip-hop dance for children aged 6–9. Suitable for complete beginners as well as kids with some previous dance experience, the class focuses on basic hip-hop movements while developing coordination, rhythm, and body awareness.
Teaching is grounded in the foundations of hip-hop culture, with an emphasis on joy of movement, musicality, creativity, and respect; for yourself, for others, and for the culture. Each session encourages participation in a supportive group environment where every child is seen, included, and motivated.

HipHop (10-11år)
This class offers a fun, safe, and inclusive hip-hop dance experience for children aged 10–11. Suitable for beginners as well as dancers with some previous experience, the class builds on basic hip-hop movements while placing greater emphasis on musicality, groove, and control. Students will learn simple choreographies that help develop timing, coordination, and body awareness, while encouraging confidence and personal expression through dance.
Teaching is grounded in the foundations of hip-hop culture, with a strong focus on joy of movement, musicality, creativity, and respect; for yourself, for others, and for the culture. Each session takes place in a supportive group environment where every child is encouraged to participate, grow, and buid their own style.

13:00 - Popping (6-11år)
Popping (6-11år)
This class offers a fun, structured, and inclusive introduction to popping for children aged 6–11. Designed for beginners and for children who want to build a strong foundation in the style, the class focuses on the fundamental techniques of popping, including body control, muscle contractions, and precision.
Students will learn how to time their movements to being on-beat, helping them develop musical awareness, coordination, and control. Each session takes place in a supportive and encouraging environment, preparing students for further development within popping while building confidence, focus, and enjoyment of dance.
